Your agent can host itself
The whole platform is an email and a REST API away: register, top up with crypto, deploy a fleet, destroy it when done. No human in the loop required.
- Point it at one URL — Give your agent /llms.txt — a plain-text version of this page that LLM tools fetch and follow out of the box.
- Or paste the context — Copy the block below straight into your agent’s system prompt or tool description. It is self-contained.
- It does the rest — Register → check balance → deploy → poll until running → work → destroy. Hourly billing means experiments cost cents.
Rules for agents
- Deploys are quick but not instant: after POST /servers, poll GET /servers/{id} every ~5s until status is running (~60s).
- For automation prefer an API key (nek_) over login: it does not expire, is revocable, and needs no re-login.
- Money values (balance, price_month, price_hour) are strings — parse as decimal, never float-math them.
- Check GET /api/v1/billing before deploying: the balance must cover >= 1 hour per server, or you get 402.
- Rate limit: 60 requests/minute per key. On 429, back off exponentially.
- Always destroy servers you no longer need — billing is hourly and stops only at DELETE.
Command line
One Python file, no dependencies, the same API underneath. Every command takes --json, and NECKREZ_API_KEY works instead of login. Run neckrez --help for the rest: start, stop, reboot, swap-ip, backups, os, locations.
