Terms of Service
Plain-English terms for Neckrez. The short version: an email is your only identity, you pay with crypto, you own what you run, and abuse gets you removed.
1. What Neckrez is
Neckrez is a crypto-funded hosting service. You rent real cloud servers — virtual machines provisioned on third-party clouds (currently Vultr, DigitalOcean and Hetzner) through their APIs — paid for from a prepaid cryptocurrency balance and billed by the hour. Your relationship with us is an email address and a crypto balance; nothing more.
By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms and to our Acceptable Use Policy. You must be at least 18 years old, and you are responsible for making sure your use of the service is lawful where you are.
2. Identity verification (no KYC)
We do not perform Know-Your-Customer (KYC) checks, and identity verification is not part of signing up or using the service. Your account is an email address. We do not collect, ask for or verify your legal name, government ID, home address, payment card or phone number.
This is how the service is designed and how we intend to keep it, but we cannot promise it for all time: we may have to verify identity, or ask for information about a specific account, where the law requires it or where our payment processor or infrastructure providers require it of us. If that ever becomes necessary, it will apply to the accounts concerned and not retroactively to data we never collected.
3. Your account
You register with an email and a password, or sign in with Google or GitHub. You are responsible for keeping your credentials and API keys safe and for everything that happens on servers you deploy. If you lose access to your email you may lose access to the account, since it is the only identity on file.
4. Payment, balance and billing
You top up a prepaid balance with cryptocurrency (Bitcoin, USDT, Monero and 300+ other coins) through our payment processor, NOWPayments. Servers are billed by the hour from your balance for as long as they exist — including while stopped. Billing stops the moment you destroy a server. Crypto payments are irreversible; your balance is credited with the value actually received.
If your balance reaches zero, we take a full snapshot of each server’s disk and delete the server, so you stop paying. The snapshot is kept in your Backups for 7 days: top up and restore it onto a new server in one click, with all files, configs and software as they were (the new server gets a new IP address). After 7 days it is permanently deleted. Details are in the Refunds & Billing Policy.
Extra disks (block storage) are optional and currently offered on Vultr servers only. A disk is attached to one server, billed by the hour from your balance for as long as it exists (the first hour is charged when it is created), and lives only as long as that server does. Disks can be enlarged but not shrunk; the added gigabytes are charged at once. Extra disks are not part of server backups and cannot be snapshotted: if your balance reaches zero, or you delete the server, its disks are deleted together with their data, and that data cannot be recovered.
Your balance is prepayment for our services and nothing else. It can only be spent on resources you deploy here. It is not a deposit, an e-money account or a stored-value instrument: you cannot transfer it to another account, send it to a wallet of your choosing, or otherwise use it to move funds. We are a hosting service, not a payment or exchange service, and we do not process payments on anyone’s behalf.
Top-ups are final. Balance is not refundable and is not exchangeable for money. Because billing is hourly and the minimum top-up is small, you never have to commit much ahead — top up what you plan to spend, and top up again when you need more.
Money is never paid back out. A service that accepts crypto and returns it on request can be used to launder money, so we do not offer refunds, withdrawals or transfers of balance under any circumstances. If we have reason to believe the service is being used to launder money or move the proceeds of crime, we suspend the account, freeze its balance and servers, and report it to the competent authorities where the law requires. Money laundering is a criminal offence and can lead to prosecution.
5. Your servers, your data
Neckrez does not access, monitor or inspect the contents of your servers. Your files, data and network traffic are yours alone.
We are not a party to, and are not responsible for, whatever customers store or run on their servers. What you deploy is entirely your own responsibility. We do not proactively look at customer data; we act on specific abuse reports tied to a server by its IP address and a timestamp, as described on our Abuse page.
6. Acceptable use
Privacy-friendly is not abuse-friendly. Spam, phishing, malware or C2, botnets, DDoS attacks and CSAM are prohibited and lead to termination. The service may not be used from or on behalf of sanctioned jurisdictions. See the Acceptable Use Policy for everything that is prohibited and the Abuse page for how reports are handled.
7. Infrastructure and availability
Your servers are ordinary cloud instances running on the providers we resell. We add the payment rail, the privacy boundary and a single consistent dashboard and API on top. An outage or action on the provider’s side can affect your server. We are a small team and provide the service on a best-effort basis, without an uptime guarantee or service credits. We may change, add or remove underlying providers.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate servers or accounts for violations of these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, for non-payment, or where our providers or the law require it. Serious abuse (for example CSAM or ongoing attacks) results in immediate termination without notice and without refund. You can destroy your servers and stop using the service at any time.
9. Warranty and liability
The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages or for lost data, profits or business, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 30 days before the event giving rise to the claim. You are responsible for backing up your own data; snapshots are a convenience, not a guarantee. You agree to hold Neckrez harmless from claims arising from your use of the service or your breach of these terms.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service evolves; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new date. Questions about these terms go to support@neckrez.tech, and abuse reports to abuse@neckrez.tech.
