Neckrez

Neckrez vs Cloudzy: crypto VPS compared

Two services where you can pay for a server in crypto. What each one offers, where they differ, and who each suits.

In short

Neckrez and Cloudzy both let you pay for a cloud server in crypto and both bill by the hour or close to it. Under that they are built differently. Cloudzy says it runs its own infrastructure and offers a refund window and an uptime guarantee. Neckrez resells Vultr, DigitalOcean and Hetzner from one prepaid crypto balance, with an email-only signup and no refunds.

We are one of the two, so read this with that in mind. We only put in facts we can state about ourselves and facts Cloudzy publishes on its own site, we say plainly where Cloudzy is the better fit, and we tell you to check its site before you decide.

Where Cloudzy may suit you better

  • You want to be able to get your money back. Cloudzy states a 14-day money-back guarantee. We do not refund: top-ups are final, so we ask you to top up only what you plan to spend.
  • You want a stated uptime guarantee. Cloudzy states a 99.95% SLA. We run on the providers' cloud on a best-effort basis, with no uptime guarantee or service credits.
  • You want a lower entry price. Its promotional starter plan costs less than our smallest plan. Compare the same size on both.
  • You want one company that runs its own hardware, rather than a reseller of other clouds.
  • You want a card or PayPal. We take crypto only.

Where Neckrez may suit you better

  • You want no identity check at all. We ask for an email and nothing else, and say so on the page. Read Cloudzy's terms for what it asks.
  • You want a name-brand provider, Vultr, DigitalOcean or Hetzner, with the provider's own images and apps, and Hetzner's prices for a server in Europe. Other clouds are not on offer at Cloudzy.
  • You want more cities. 49 locations, each with its own price on the Deploy page.
  • You want more coins. Any of 300+, including Monero and TON, through one prepaid balance.
  • You want one account for several providers, so a project that outgrows one can move to another without a new signup. See Dedicated CPU and bare metal.
  • You want a balance that shows its runway. The billing page shows how many days your balance lasts at the current rate.
  • You want a Russian or German interface.

Prices

Our prices follow what each provider charges us, plus our margin, and differ by provider and city. Cloudzy's entry price is a promotion, and promotions end. The honest way to compare is to price the exact size you need on both. Our live plan table is below.

How to decide

  • Pick Cloudzy if a refund window, a stated uptime SLA, a card option or the lowest entry price matter most.
  • Pick Neckrez if no identity check, a choice of big-name providers, more cities and coins, or a Russian or German interface matter most.
  • Try either cheaply. Hourly billing on ours means an afternoon on a small server costs a few cents.

How to try Neckrez with crypto

  • 1. Sign up with an email. No KYC, no ID, no phone and no card.
  • 2. Top up the balance in crypto. The minimum top-up is $15.
  • 3. Pick a provider, a city and a plan, and deploy in about a minute.
  • 4. Destroy it when you are done. Billing stops.
